I took these photos on 25 and 26th of August, 2024. It was taken from Ventura California. Not exactly the best conditions, as the light pollution from Los Angeles is pretty bad.

The bottom image is my first attempt. It is darker, as I didn’t take as much time as I would have liked. On the next day, I tried again, doubling the amount of time. The results speak for themselves.

I took this using a 10” Orion Astrograph, with a QHY 183C camera. I used a dual band filter to collect the Ha and O3 signals from this beautiful structure.
